Rock Shoes

Purchasing rock shoes can be a tricky business. The size of rock shoes in general often bears little relation to the same size in a trainer, approach shoe or walking boot, and your actual foot size is often only relevant as a starting point when fitting shoes. This is especially true for the novice climber, who may have no previous experience in purchasing/fitting rock shoes.

New to Climbing Shoes: If you have not purchased rock shoes before, we advise that you give us a call on 015395 64540 (or even better pay us a visit) so that we may offer some advise on the various nuances in fit, which you may encounter with the rock shoes you have identified as being in your price bracket. Those new to climbing often and understandably so, want to keep the price of their shoes down, and instinctively seek out the cheapest shoes on our site. Unfortunately however, as we have many deal and clearance products on our website, the cheapest shoes may not be the most suitable for your needs. For example the novice climber is likely to be seeking, comfort, support and longevity in a shoe, and as such a soft, toe-down, performance bouldering shoe is not what you need, and is only likely to put you off climbing for good.

Experienced Climber: If you are familiar with the fit and feel of rock shoes, but are interested in a model or brand of which you are unfamiliar with, we recommend that you use our Rock Shoe Sizing Guide as a starting point for fitting new shoes.

Warning: Any advice given, whether it is via our online information or over the phone, should be not be considered as definitive and is only offered on a guidance basis. Whilst we try our best to give correct sizing information based on the information the customer gives us, we can not be held responsible if your shoes do not fit. If you are still unsure what size to go for, after speaking to us, either pay us or your local climbing shop a visit so we may assist and fit you in person.
