Rucksacks & Luggage

Rucksacks and carrying systems are categorized by their relevant usages. Obviously most packs can be used for a number activities and therefore you will notice some crossover.

As a rough guide, day and running packs tend to be 10 to 25 litres, cragging and lightweight Alpine packs around 30 to 40 litres, mountaineering packs 45 to 55 litres and Backpacking packs 55 litres and upwards.
