Targasonne is one of the best European bouldering spots, and is situated in the heart of the French Pyrenees close to Andorra. Thanks to the high altitude the conditions are often very good and even in winter bouldering is possible even after snowfall due to the southern exposure of the hillside.
Fred Bertin comprehensively describes this superb area now in his new(ish) guide, which is obviously written by a super keen boulderer. Next to the fine collection of action photos there are a vast portfolio of overview topgraphs and text detailing the problems, including grade, height, landing, climbing style etc.
