The Black Diamond Easy Rider a great choice if you are intending to do a lot of Via Ferrata. It is one of our more expensive kits but the cost is justified. There are 3 main aspects of the kit that make is such a good choice.

The Easy Riders Carabiners are auto locking and importantly are very easy to open. By squeezing the crab the mechanism on the spine of the biner causes the gate to unlock. This process is very natural and this is a major plus point after many hours of use.

The lanyards have internal elastic reducing the amount of training webbing when you are on the move, reducing the chances of snagging and getting in the way. The lanyards are a slightly different length (5cm difference) this allows space between the two in case of a fall to help reduce the chance of trapping part of yourself between the two lanyards.
 
Energy Absorption System (EAS) is compact and doesn't get in the way. It consists of sewn webbing which during a fall the stitching rips (in a good way) absorbing some of the force of the fall and ultimately reducing the impact felt on yourself.
