Loading... Please wait...These Black Diamond Micro Stoppers are very similar to the old popular RP's. These micro nuts have a subtle curve allowing for placements in almost parallel cracks, but still able to work around crystals and other minor lumps and bumps. Made from a copper and iron mix, they deform slightly when loaded to get that bit more bite from the rock, critical when relying on small gear. Each Micro Stopper is equipped with a durable, galvanized steel cable and Black Diamonds Patented swage is strong, flexible and less prone to fraying.
The 1 to 6 Micro Stopper set comes with an oval biner.

I have the 4 larger sizes of these. Bought before dmm brought out the new brass nuts/imps at the time they seemed like the best choice for a microwire and I haven't been disappointed.
Obviously their small size means placing them in any placement that they are going to fit in can be somewhat fiddly, however their flared shape seems to suit a large variety of placements and once they seat they seem reassuringly solid, and at least in the larger sizes depending on the placement, you know they should theoretically hold a largish fall.
They seem to be wearing well, I am interested to get hold of some of the new dmm nuts and see how they compare.
