I got these for sling draws, as the standard 11mm dyneema slings are a little bulky, wheras the 8mm sits a bit nicer on the krabs. I'm very happy with them as slingdraws / threads / small tree runners and they now live on my harness for that purpose. The 8mm is a great middle ground between standard 11mm and super skinny but scary 6mm (I have some of those and am nervous of using them!)

These slings are, in my opinion, really only useful for alpine-style climbing as they are very light but also quick to wear away. The plastic sleeve over the sewing prevents this to a great extent, but I am now on my second batch and don't really use them that regularly. I have used them for Limestone climbing as well, where threads are often small, but the forces over such a small are are so large that I wouldn't really trust such a runner anyway.
On the plus side, they are extremely good at what they do; keeping weight to a minimum and allowing you to make really fast ascents. Its only a few grams saved but it all adds up and that's why I currently own two of these.
