This is 40% below the currently valid standard DIN 7948 which permits up to 1000 daN (1000 kg). 1000 daN is the maximum limit for the human head. This value is reached for example with a 100 g stone falling of a 50 m height with a braking distance of 1 cm. All EDELRID helmets weigh less than the permitted 500 g. In addition the interior construction with adjust able cross and forehead bands provide a perfect fit and wearing comfort. Permanent circulation of air is guaranteed by ventilation holes. EDELRID helmets have high safety reserves exceeding the standard requirements and are thus resistant against multiple impacts.

As always edelrid provide a hard wearing and durable helmet which fits a large range of head sizes. Sadly the recent changes to to the plastic quality in the clips etc and the longer straps around the ears mean that the new helmets are not quite as good as their predecessors.
