Particularly popular with in-store customers due to its precise yet comfortable feel out of the box, the Bandit is perfectly suited to the typical UK rock climber. A reasonably stiff sole means the Bandit is well adapted to edging and all day use - therefore ideal for mountain trad, limestone and indoor walls. Depending on fit the Bandit will appeal to a broad spread of climbers - worn tight they have been used on top end climbs, whilst with a more relaxed fit they will appeal to intermediate, and even entry level climbers.
The Bandit has a similar feel to the popular Five Ten Anasazi Verde, albeit without the aggressive tightly slung heel of the Anasazi models. For many climbers who do not wear their boots super-tight this results in the Bandit being a better fit than the Anasazi, with less dead space in the heel.
Overall the Bandit is a great shoe that would be perfect for those looking for a step up in performance from the Evolv Defy, or a cheaper alternative to the performance offerings from Five Ten and La Sportiva.

This is the second pair of Bandits I have owned, and I have found them to be one of the better shoes I have owned. They are highly similar to La Sportiva Katanas, being precise and sensitive. The heel cup along with the rest of the shoe is also well fitting, with minimal dead space. Size wise, I wear them half a size down from my street shoe.
I did own a pair of Evolv Pontas Lace before these, which I found far too hard and wore through quickly. These have been the complete opposite.

I purchased the Bandit as a change from 5.10 (Verde's) and have not been disappointed. They offer a great precision fit, whilst the heels seem closer fitting than the Anasazi's, meaning I get less dead space and therefore better hooking. The shoes are well made, although there does seem a little less material in their construction, compared with the Verde's, which has meant they have softened/stretched a little more than I expected. Overall, a great technical all rounder which I will be purchasing again.
