Being the sister model to the Defy, the Elektra shares many of the characteristics of that popular shoe; sensitivity, precision and comfort. The Elektra is ideally suited to entry level to mid level climbers. Total beginners are likely to benefit from a stiffer more supportive shoe, whilst adavanced users are likely to want a more aggressive performance orientated shoe.
For the majority of users however who fit between these extremes, the Elektra offers up a great compromise between comfort and ability and is very hard to beat at the price.

I found the fit of these good for slim feet. They have sticky rubber for smearing whilst being not too soft for edges. Being synthetic and lined they remain a good fit over time. The Velcro is positioned well to fasten securely. They are a nice looking shoe. My only criticism was a split that appeared in the side of the toe rubber when climbing on sharp rock. But I guess that’s the compromise of softer, stickier rubber. Compared to the Defy, I find the heel volume of the Electra better particularly for heel hooks.
