Alpine and winter walking axe with few faults

I have used this axe once in the Scottish hills and found it to be a good all round axe. It is slightly more technical than the Grivel Munro with a slight bend in the shaft allowing it to be used on marginally harder ground by experienced users. Shorter than the Munro, it is harder to bash crampons with to dislodge buildup of snow and is less useful as an aid to balance.
Clearly designed as an alpine axe, its weight will tell against it slightly. With the addition of a grivel slider however there is no reason that harder ground could not be climbed were this axe used in conjunction with a more technical tool.
A good axe that will excel on long routes incorporating easy slopes and the occasional hard pitch.
The leash is a good length, comfy and secure.
