The short handled Grivel Steel Bladed Plastic Shovel is lightweight and instantly ready to use - it does not require any assembling. The multifunctional design and contouring makes this shovel super versitile in confined situations whether in the bottom of a snow hole or bolstering a cave.

An ice axe can be slotted into the handle making it longer in the shaft, whilst slots in the blade allow it to be used to drag snow towards you. The weight reducing drainage holes in the blade mean that it could be threaded up to use as an emergancy Deadman.
