very easy to use and well written guide

The guide is a very nice size which makes it very easy to carry on the crag and the plastic cover means you don’t need to worry about it getting damaged when out using it. I found the maps and crag diagrams very easy to follow and found the route descriptions easy to follow. It covers the majority of the lakes so only has the bigger better known crags in but I think the choice was really well made and it is an excellent guide for those of us who don’t manage to get to the same areas frequently.

This guide was an excellent buy as it covers selected crags from most parts of the lake District- a real bonus if you are planning to travel around the differing areas and don’t want to get a guidebook for each area. They (FRCC) have selected some of the best routes from some of the better crags. They have also updated and improved the topo’s so its much easier to follow the less obvious route! The plastic cover also means its hardwearing- its lasting much better than some of my rock fax guides. Overall an excellent buy if you want one guide only for the Lake District.
