Good handling, very light – Rating 5

Had this rope for 2 seasons now. It has coped easily with normal week-end UK use and 3 trips for European multi-pitch rock routes. At this rate it will easily last another 2 seasons.

It is slightly more "boingy" when lobbing off than the Mammut Genesis 8.6mm, but no worries really.

Very light and compact to pack and carry. I feel guilty each time I give the missus the old 8.6 to carry, but being old and unfit I don't let it bother me too much!

These ropes have seen some action on scottish winter, summer mountain cragging and alpine ticks this year and I'm entirely satisfied with them. Mammut have led the way with these slick 8.0mm ropes, saving my knees and giving you less to think about at the end of a long lead. If they're well looked after they will last you a good few years and still repel the worst of the wet.
Just to top them off, their handling is excellent and are pretty unlikely to tie themselves in knots when you're not looking.
