Loading... Please wait...There are lots of different brands of tape that are used for climbing purposes. The Metolius tape is probably not as good as Strappal for taping fingers, as it’s not quite so supportive and is difficult to tear into thin strips. However the Metolius tape is great for making crack climbing gloves, or at least strips to protect the back of your hands when jamming, for taping wrists and even emergency gear repairs.

How to Tape-up Finger Injuries

This is good tape for strapping larger joints - wrists, ankles etc. - and for protecting your skin when jamming. But for strapping injured fingers I would recommend Stappal. It may be pricey, compared to the Metolius stuff, but its worth it - more adhesive and tears into your desired diameter far easier.
