Deceptive device!

Following a major third finger tendon injury sustained last November, I decided I needed to do more work on strengthening my wrist and fingers, particularly as every time I put in a handjam and went to pull up on it my wrist would pop and separate, definitely not what you want when you're climbing.
I was bought the Gripsaver Plus as a present by one of my children and when I opened it and felt the squidgy ball I thought "Oh well" but made the suitably grateful noises.
This is a deceptive little device however, and once I started using it (I have the regular Red one) I soon started to feel it doing the trick.
Getting the fingers into the rings can be a little tricky and you need to make sure that you have it the right way round. The rings are numbered just at the base of the stem so that 5 is for your pinky, these numbers are a little hard to spot at first. I would imagine that for men it would be trickier as although I don't have dainty girly hands, my fingers aren't that big either and the rings are quite a squeeze for me but there does seem to be quite a bit of give.
The pack gives three different methods of working the wrist and fingers and also the forearm and it's definitely worth playing around with the different positions as they really do give your hand and wrist an excellent workout. All in all an ingeniously simple yet effective product.
