The Rab Infinity Jacket is a new (as of 2010) ultralight down jacket that has been developed using the Pertex Quantum GL (Gossamer light) fabric and the highest quality 850 fill power down. Developed for the alpine climber, mountain walker and those that want to travel fast light, offering real warmth without compromising weight.

Pertex Quantum GL is a 10 Denier ultralight rip stop fabric, the lightest downproof, windproof and breathable fabric Pertex have yet produced. The down is held in place by the stitch through construction that is formed into squares ensuring an even spread of down through out. The double exit drawcord and elasticated cuffs hold the jacket in place whilst the close fitting Lycra edged hood keeps the warmth in.

Super light and super warm down jacket

I had to retire my down jacket of 30 years recently because the number of sticky plasters make me look like an ER casualty. So I have been researching intensively to seek the optimum combination of warmth, lightness and cost for some time. The Rab Infinity Jacket fills that niche as it packs down small, weighs next to nothing (less than half of my old jacket) is hard wearing and waterproof. I have taken it in to a variety of high places and to crags in damp and cold conditions and been the envy of those around me. I havnt yet had to bivy but can believe the jacket would deaql with such a scenario well.
We share kit in our large family which means that I have lost my Infinity before I realise its gone, the solution is I am going to buy another!
