The Black Box is a new holdall from our workshop in Aviemore which embraces all the staples of Rock + Run design; simple yet functional, strong and light, reasonably priced.

Holdalls from the big brand outdoor companies have become needlessly complicated and arguably 'over designed' which increases overall weight and cost. Similar products from The North Face and Black Diamond weigh a minimum of 1.6KG, while ‘The Black Box’ clocks in at a mere 1KG. With hold baggage becoming increasingly expensive a saving of 600g is significant meaning you can transport more gear. Don’t lock up unnecessary weight in your luggage which is useless once you reach your destination.

The Black Box is virtually all black (what else); At last, you don’t need to be a walking advert for a large American Corporation. Baggage discreteness is important when traveling and increases your chances of avoiding theft or tampering, which could ruin your trip.

The quick-fit shoulder straps are another feature which will really speed up your passage through an airport terminal. Fast and light, they can be removed in a few seconds and either packed into the holdall itself, or simply stuffed into a pocket. With the shoulder straps fitted you can quickly negotiate crowds, escalators and comfortably trek between terminals or train stations. Once at check-in, quickly remove the straps and reduce the chance of your luggage being trapped and damaged in conveyer belts and, reduce the need for an extra trip to the 'Oversized Luggage' check-in.
