Designed as a multifaceted product the Lepton is usable as a top-end secondary pad or primary circuiting pad.

Secondary Pad
When used in combination with a standard to larger sized pad, the unique nature of the Lepton becomes instantly apparent. Designed so that it can 'piggyback' on to your main pad, via a simple inbuilt strapping mechanism, the Lepton is easy to carry to the crag, even on long walk-ins. The full zip closure also means you can store your kit inside the pad when in transit – whether that be on the way to the crag or even as hold luggage when travelling abroad. Unlike many other pads designed for secondary use, the Lepton provides a full sized landing zone (130x100cm), making it second only to a full spec. pad. Having a large surface area and thin diameter also makes this a great pad for covering jutting nasties, such as rocks and tree roots, as it easily forms to the contours of what it's laid upon, whilst minimizing the chances of “dabbing”, through its low profile.

Circuiting Pad
Anyone who has done a circuit in Fontainebleau or similar venue will be aware that a full sized crash pad is not always required, and the Lepton makes the perfect partner for such excursions – lightweight, easy to carry, no bag required and offers a full sized landing zone. The low bulk of the Lepton also makes it ideal for non climbing specific trips, where space in the car or on the plane is at a premium.

Cyclist's Pad
Finally, this is probably the best pad available if cycling to the crag is your only option. The full zip closure means there's no chance of losing your kit down some country lane, whilst the low bulk of the pad means improved stability when compared to a full sized pad. A word of warning: cycling with any pad is not advised in strong winds!
