The Wild Country Cordellette is basically a large 400cm sling. It's not an essential piece of kit, however it can certainly can aid setting up belays and can be particularly useful on multipitch routes.

Instructions
The intended use of the Cordelette is to equalise multiple anchors on a belay simply and quickly. On a mulipitch route your second can also clip into the equalised loop, meaning less faffing around at the belays!

    * Image A: Clip the Cordelette through multiple anchor points.
    * Image B: Gather the sections which are between the anchors and pull towards you until they are of equal length.
    * Image C: Tie into a simple overhand knot and then clip a screwgate into this and connect to your harness.
