Please wait...Dyneema slings have pretty much replaced Nylons slings, due to them having a higher strength to weight ration, less water absorption (important in winter) and has a higher resistance to cutting, though they tend to wear a bit quicker. Dyneema is however not a strong as nylon when any dynamic forces are involved, so when setting up belays, if a rope is not being used to connect to the anchors, make sure that there is no slack in the dyneema. It is best to replace your slings after 3 years, and less if they show heavy signs of wear.
10mm is a nice width to use, for a sling, it is light as you would expect, and doesn't take up much room, and are probably going to wear better than the super skinny 8mm slings that are available.
